16 Imperial Tombs

You have arrived at the base page for the Ming emperors' tombs.

If you haven't done so already, then I recommend that you take a quick walk through the introductory section pages before embarking on the journey through the following emperor pages.

You'll find a total of 16 individual pages in this section -one for each Ming emperor.

Of course the tombs have a lot in common, but as you travel through the pages you'll see that hardly two are alike despite their apparent similarities.

And that's where the interesting part enters -trying to spot the subtle and not so subtle differences.

Join me on a journey some 500 years back into the burial of the current Son of Heaven -Emperor and sole ruler of The Middle Kingdom also known as China or Cathay.
